I was honored to be asked by Nora if she could feature Style Nudge on her blog The Jacket Society (http://jacketsociety.com) for the Tour through Blogland. If you aren’t familiar with Nora’s blog and website you should definitely visit them. She designs and sells her own contemporary blazer and jacket line, and she has great style – casual, but sophisticated. So, thank you, Nora, for featuring Style Nudge. The Tour participants are asked to feature three of our favorite bloggers and to answer the following questions. So here goes…
1) What am I working on?
I started Style Nudge in January of 2014 knowing very little about social media or blogging. So each day is a new and exciting challenge, and I am always working towards improving my blog. Every Monday is “Shoe and Tell” on Style Nudge, where I feature a pair of my shoes and tell something about them. I am currently working on a “Shoe and Tell Link-up”, because in my opinion, IT’S ALL ABOUT THE SHOES!
2) How does my work differ from others in it’s genre?
Style is all about the “mix”. Being able to combine textures, colors, patterns, high with low and new with old is the secret to great style. And, how much you spend has nothing to do with looking stylish. Style Nudge is unique because of how and what I put together. I often blend vintage pieces- jewelry, handbags, muffs, coats, shoes, etc… with current fashion. I am a collector at heart, and I love the hunt of finding one-of-a-kind pieces wherever they may be – ebay, garage sales, estate sales, flea markets, consignment stores, vintage and antique stores. I’m always challenging myself to come up with new and refreshing ideas.
3) Why do I write/create what I do?
Because Style is AGELESS. Since childhood, I have loved to style everything from clothing to interiors. I am constantly observing and I’ve come to realize that I see the world through “style colored” glasses. Over the years, my friends and family have told me they are constantly challenged by not knowing what to wear, when to wear it, and how to wear it. So I thought, why not start a blog that shows women different ideas about style and how feeling confident in what you are wearing will give you more confidence in anything you do. I want to Nudge women to try new ideas, play with their clothes and find their own style. Clothes are just clothes, it’s what you do with them and how you wear them that is Style.
4) How does my writing/creating process work?
My creative process is organic, where there isn’t a formula or a plan. When I put an outfit together, it’s like working a puzzle or painting a picture – it develops as I work. To be perfectly honest, writing for the blog doesn’t come easily, but the visual styling does. It’s an “in the moment” decision. Oh, and I love reading your comments and questions so keep them coming!
So, lets move on to the Tour so you can meet these three fabulous bloggers and visit their blogs…
Hi! I’m Heather Wyancko.
This year my husband and I relocated to KCMO from DENVERCO where I had been working as a booking agent and photographer at the biggest (and best!) talent agency in the mountain region. Looking to fill the void once occupied by daily exposure to fashion, style, and the exuberant creative energy that is hallmark to the industry, I naturally started a personal blog.
But long before my life in the world of fashion and modeling ever began, I’d get down and dirty in my local thrift stores, snag the relics and rare finds, and piece together a personal style $20 at a time. It is in these cluttered shops that I was ‘born’ and why my blog is named ‘Thrift Stories’.

Too Cheap Blondes is made up of Jen and Pippa, two of the cheapest housewives in Houston. While they both live very comfortable existences, they absolutely hate spending big money on fashion! As a result, Jen and Pippa have become professional thrifters and stylists! Their blog,www.toocheapblondes.com, chronicles their thrifting adventures and shows how you can dress on-trend, in high-end fashion brands (Burberry, Kate Spade, Chanel, etc.), all from thrift stores! They have been featured on numerous television programs in Houston (Great Day Houston, Fox News, Check This Out Houston!, and ABC’s Stretch Your Dollar) and on two nationally-syndicated programs Mirror/Mirror and Deals!. In addition to filming over 40 television segments, Jen and Pippa are also the official fashion bloggers for Goodwill Industries of Houston.

“ Hi, I’m Tilden and have a personal style blog called To Be Bright, which serves as a daily lookbook for the budget-friendly, style-savvy closet. My blog is based in both New Jersey & New York City and focuses on creating outfits that are quality-driven, yet don’t break the bank. As a recent college graduate, I’m always on a financial diet so scoring those sale items and mixing highs with lows is more than assuring! Check out my blog for your daily dose of inspo & follow me on Instagram @tobebright (http://instagram.com/
