The Tell: I just received these spring sandals in the mail yesterday and so, as I’m sitting here today in my p.j.’s on a lazy Sunday morning, I wanted to share them with you. Every spring, I like to add a sandal to my wardrobe and when I saw these I knew these were the ones. I love ticking fabric, especially vintage ticking.
Ticking fabric, the unique black stripe pattern, has been the same pattern for almost 1000 years. It was made out of a heavy cotton or linen fabric and was made to cover pillows and mattresses because it prevented feathers from poking through the fabric.
Ticking fabric, today, has found it’s way into many other areas, like fashion. Nothing better than to be able to wrap my feet in ticking!
