The Nudge: It’s the simple things that are often times the best things, like making a wish while blowing the seeds off of a dandelion globe. It brings back special childhood memories for me. Watching the seeds fly away is so magical.
Simplicity is the key to many things, style being one of them.
When I have to run out the door, I can always count on denim on denim. It keeps things simple, there is nothing to think about, except what shoes to wear. It’s effortless, it’s casual, it’s comfy, and it’s always stylish. If you haven’t tried denim on denim, and, if you haven’t blown the seeds off of a dandelion globe lately, what are you waiting for? The Nudge: I wore this outfit to brunch in Brooklyn a few weeks ago. My two oldest children recently moved there, so I’m getting to know Brooklyn and it’s quaint restaurants. I’m loving it!
I don’t like to save my dressier clothes, like this silk, chartreuse blouse, for special occasions. Instead, I often pair my dressy things with my casual, everyday looks, like this striped, wrap dress. I loved the combination of the blue and white stripes with the chartreuse. It was the perfect punch of color to add a little bit of pizazz.
Why not pair a silk top with something casual? It’s that unexpected surprise that gives your look an edge that it wouldn’t otherwise have.

Just Because I love hens and roosters… I think they are beautiful in the way they look, the way they move and the way they act – they have fabulous style. Besides loving the look of them, I also love their confident, blunt attitude. They strut around knowing exactly what they want and they certainly aren’t afraid to be themselves. They are the Iris Apfel’s of the animal world. CLICK HERE TO SEE MORE
