***I hope you like the brand new Style Nudge website. It was officially up and running this morning, so I’ve been busy finalizing all the nitty gritty details this week. There are still a few things that aren’t quite finished, but they will be soon. I would love to hear what you think of the new site! ***
Now, onto the new post…
Reclaiming and salvaging this flea market fur is a great way to recycle and it’s guilt-free! I purchased this sheared beaver coat at the Brimfield, Massachusetts flea market several years ago. I love that it is big on me so that I can wear bulky sweaters – it’s perfect for a very chilly day.
If you are in the market for one you can find them anywhere from garage sales to flea markets. Vintage fur can be a little tricky. It is important to check the coat over carefully. Make sure that it has no holes, no tears, no shedding, no odors and that the leather is supple and not too dry. Be patient when looking for one. Vintage shopping is very hit or miss and it takes time to find what you want. Once you do find what you want and you absolutely love it, then don’t pass it up. Your chances of finding something similar in the future are slim to none. So…Buy It!!
