This silk smoking jacket was purchased in the early 50’s in Hong Kong by my father, who was in the United States Navy at the time. He purchased it for his father and somehow it trickled down to me some 60 years later.
I used to play Dress Up with this jacket when I was little. You know what they say, what you loved to do as a child is what you should be doing as an adult. Our true passion sometimes gets forgotten or is put aside, but it never leaves us. Mine has been waiting (not so patiently) for years to be rediscovered.
As I was putting the smoking jacket on to do this post, I realized that my life has come full circle. I still LOVE to play Dress Up.
