I wanted to share with you the wonderful day I had at Chicos in NYC on Saturday. My friend and fellow style blogger, Eugenia from The Age of Grace came up with the idea for a blogger meetup several months ago and worked very hard for months to put it all together. She’s the one in the black dress and fierce red booties. Congratulations Eugenia, it was a huge success!
I was asked to be a model that day wearing all Chico’s clothing. I have to confess, I’ve never shopped at Chico’s, but after spending the day in the store I was so impressed by their selection. I picked out a pair of floral embroidered jeans, a tan poncho with fringe and faux leather hoop earrings and cuff. I wore my own denim shirt and plum suede booties.
This event allowed many women over the age of 50, both bloggers and women owning their own small businesses, to meet up and discuss fashion, being 50 and above, our individual journeys, our lives, etc. Truly, women empowering women. Eugenia, myself and other women who attended are also part of a bigger group, Forever Fierce: The Midlife Revolution. It’s a platform for women to join a conversation with other midlife women.
I made many new friends that day and I look forward to meeting up with all of these lovely ladies again very soon.
Eugenia put together a gift bag for everyone and I want to say thank you to the sponsors: The Hall Center for providing Dr. Prudence Hall’s book, Radiant Again & Forever, Montagne Jeunesse for the 7th Heaven Face Masks, Simply Venom Day & Night Creams, and finally, to for the Chico’s Luna Stretch Reversible Bracelet.
And, a big thank you to Chico’s for the wonderful outfits they provided and for hosting such a fabulous event.
