The Nudge: I’m going out on a fashion limb today to say that camouflage print can be used as neutral wardrobe piece.
Camouflage fabric was specifically designed to blend into it’s natural surroundings. There are many different types of camo print, but in general they are made with tones of green and brown. Because of this tone on tone color scheme, the camouflage print acts as one color. So, as a fashion piece, it blends so well with other prints, patterns and colors.
I paired my camo skirt with a neutral tee and jacket, and added pops of orange to complete the look. Camo is quickly becoming my #2 favorite neutral, right behind my beloved leopard print, of course.
You can style camo to stand out, or to blend in. Either way, you will be surprised at it’s versatility, it blends beautifully with all kinds of pieces. So, be bold and Blend Your Camo! CLICK HERE TO SEE MORE
The Nudge: Are you Au Courant On Camo? Whether you like it or not, camouflage print will always be a fashion thing. Some years you see it more than others, but it’s not going anywhere. I haven’t worn this skirt in in a while, not sure why. I’m moody that way. Camo is a strong print and you definitely have to be in the mood to wear it. It’s edgy, but chic, and I love the casualness of it. This skirt is the perfect mix of masculine (the camo print), and feminine (the ruffle style). Camo is unexpectedly versatile.
Do you own any camo print items? If not, try it on for size. Add a little camo zing to your wardrobe, even if it’s something small, like a clutch or a scarf. CLICK HERE TO SEE MORE
The Nudge: Red Kimono -Take Three… I promise this is the last you will see of my red Japanese Kimono for a while. I just couldn’t resist styling it with my leopard dress. I enjoy playing with prints and patterns, mixing and matching them. I love the bold red asian inspired design against the leopard print, and vice versa. To ground all the busyness, I added the chocolate brown suede handbag and shoes to balance the look. As you can see, though, with a fabulous wardrobe piece like this kimono, the possibilities are endless. CLICK HERE TO SEE MORE
The Nudge: I love just throwing on my Japanse Kimono over two of my favorite wardrobe basics – a white ribbed tee and jeans. Without the Kimono, these pieces would just be everyday ordinary ones, but adding it certainly puts the “extra” into the ordinary. If you want everyday extraordinary, all you need is a Kimono!
